Freedom
of Religion and Belief: Europe's Story by Rev Dr Karel Blei.
This book traces the history
of a concept that is now recognised as a Human Right. The
book is imaginatively illustrated with full colour pictures

Schools: Ideas & Experiences from around the World.
The International Consultative Conference on School Education
in Relation with Freedom of Religion and Belief, Tolerance,
and Non-Discrimination, was held in Madrid, Spain in November
2001. A booklet of 11 essays on the models and practice of
religious education in schools from Asia, Europe, the Middle
East, Africa and the Americas was specially prepared by our
Research & Issues Co-ordinator for the event. Copies are

Faith under Fire
CLAAS is a British-based Christian group mainly defending
the rights of Christians in Pakistan, some of whom are indeed
in a dire situation. A small grant was given to CLAAS to assist
with the publication of a report on this situation, entitled
'Faith Under Fire.' The report advocates the plight of Christians,
but the introduction is more inclusive in its tone.
The Cult Around the Corner
- A Handbook on Dealing with Other People's Religions
The
Foundation for Religious Freedom is a non-profit religious
tolerance organisation run by a multi-faith Board of Directors.
Their book contains practical yet compassionate advice with
suggestions like "take the person to lunch" or "attend
one of their church services", real-life anecdotes, and
valuable information on deeper religious questions - Cults?
Brainwashing? Teen choices? Called "an excellent handbook.."
